You will need: |
1 x Nonna’s Pizza Base Mix |
4 tablespoons Butter (56 g) |
100 ml Water |
1/2 cup Water to make the flour roux, method below |
Method: |
1. Place the Flour Roux in a saucepan and add 1/2 cup water. Mix well. |
2. Place on low heat and stir continuously until it has a thick consistency like white sauce. |
3. Place the roux in a bowl and add the butter, mix well. |
4. Add the Pizza Base Flour and stir until it has a crumbly texture. |
5. Add the 100 ml water and knead by folding it over with a spoon until all the ingredients are well incorporated. |
6. Place the dough in the fridge for a few minutes to cool down completely. |
7. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface, cornstarch works best. Shape into a circle using a rolling pin. |
8. Add toppings and bake at 200˚C for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
