HOME MADE PROTEIN BAR
DRY INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- ½ cup sunflower seed flour
- 1/2 cup desiccated coconut
- 80g protein powder (unsweetened)
- 2 tbsp hemp seed powder (optional)
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
- 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
WET INGREDIENTS
- 100g soft dates (soaked in warm water, then smashed)
- 30ml Coconut oil
- 1 heaped tablespoon honey (adjust for sweetness)
- 1/3 cup Peanut butter or any other Nut Butter
- medium size banana
🍫 Instructions
1. Soften the dates
- Place dates in boiling water & cook for 5 min, with closed lid
- Drain and mash into a paste
2. Mix ingredients
In a large bowl combine all the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients
3. Press & set
- Press mixture firmly into a lined tray or container
- Smooth the top tightly (important for binding)
4. Chill
- Refrigerate for 2–3 hours until firm
- Cut into bars or squares
