Ingredients

 

CHOCOLATE LAYER

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 3 tsp Cape Dutch Vegan Hot Chocolate 
  • 1 1/2 cup water/almond milk

COCONUT LAYER

  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cup coconut milk

CARAMEL LAYER

  • 13 mejool dates
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 30ml + 3 tbsp almond milk
  • 1/2 tsp vegan hot chocolate

Instructions

1. Coconut Layer & Chocolate Layer:

Mix the ingredients for the coconut layer in a bowl, refrigerate for 3 hours/overnight. Repeat for the choc layer.

2. To make the caramel:

Blend all the ingredients in a high powered blender until smooth and creamy. A few spoonfuls at a time, push the mixture through a fine sieve to remove the skins from the Medjool dates. The end result should be a thick and creamy caramel sauce.

3. Layer the 2 chia mixtures,

add half a chopped nanukichocolate bar, spread on the caramel layer and top with the remaining nanukichocolate bar and some coconut shavings from naturalhealthwarehouse.

This recipe serves 3 to 4 people.
